Study scope

This study focuses on the resilience of remote rural communities and natural coastal ecosystems, as there is a real gap in resourcing this area. By exploring and realising intrinsic and community values of coastal margin ecosystems and the connected benefits that they provide, we can start to really focus actions to ensure a more resilient future.

Please note unitary authorities, like Marlborough District Council, have a responsibility to provide resilience to local services, infrastructure and waste management for communities in the face of climate change and natural hazards. In the course of the study I can highlight your concerns regarding the resilience of these services, and forward them to the experts responsible for them, but the main focus for this study remains on coastal ecosystems resilience.
