The study is conducted by Heli Wade from the University of Canterbury ׀ Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha, School of Biological Sciences | Te Kura Pūtaiao Koiora. The study contributes to the MBIE funded Tau ki Ākau (Ridge to Reef) project in collaboration with the Universities of Waikato and Otago. Tau ki Ākau is addressing the long-term sustainability of coastal ecosystems at a national scale.
This study has been reviewed and approved by the University of Canterbury Human Research Ethics Committee and the Māori Ethics Consultation and Engagement Group.
